PEANUT POLICY Please remember to check all snacks.
The Village Presbyterian Pre-School has a peanut-free policy. A peanut allergy can be very serious, even fatal to a child. Even just a trace of peanut residue left on a table can be dangerous to a child suffering from this allergy. Currently, there are several children enrolled in the pre-school suffering from this allergy.
Because of this, we are issuing a no-peanut rule for all snacks brought to school. This includes anything that contains walnuts, too. When choosing the snack for the day, please take the time to check the label for peanut, peanut flour, peanut oils and walnuts. Usually, but not always, the label will state MAY CONTAIN PEANUTS. We also ask that care is taken around holidays such as Halloween when candy may be brought in. Most chocolate candy does contain traces of peanuts.
We can't thank you enough for your consideration in this matter. We at the Village Presbyterian Pre-School take the welfare of our children very seriously and we know that you do, too.
